How long does it take for an invoice to get processed through Nimbello?

From the time an invoice is emailed to Nimbello to the time it hits your customer portal, here's what you can expect

Timely invoice processing ensures accurate financial records, facilitates prompt payments, and enhances overall cash flow management.  On the other hand, delays in invoice processing can lead to disruptions in financial planning and can be damaging to supplier relationships.  This is why it's so important to be aware of the timeline involved when you send invoices to be paid through Nimbello.

Typically the turn-around time from the moment an invoice is sent to Nimbello to the time it hits your portal is two business days.

Expedited processing with 24-hour turn-around is also possible. In such cases, emails can be flagged as 'High Importance,' prompting Nimbello to process them in only one business day instead of two. For more information about how you should send time-sensitive invoices, click here

If you cannot wait for Nimbello to process your invoices, you can upload invoices manually making them readily available upon entry.  For a guide on uploading invoices in this way, click here

The typical 2-business-day turn around can be most easily understood by examining a couple of examples:

  • If an email is sent to Nimbello on a work day before the 1pm EST cut-off time: your invoices should make it into your website by the end of the 2nd business day. For instance, an invoice sent at 10am on Monday should be in the portal by end of day Wednesday.

  • If an invoice is sent on a work day after the 1pm cut-off time: It should make it into your website by the end of the 3rd business day. Such emails are considered the next day's invoices. For example, an invoice received at 1:30pm EST on Tuesday should be found in the portal by the end of day on Friday.

If an invoice is sent as "High Importance", the turn-around time is typically 1 business day. Here are a couple more examples to help visualize how that works:

  • If an invoice is sent as "High Importance" on a work day Before the 1pm cut-off time: The invoice should make it into your website by the end of the next business day.  For instance, an invoice sent at 10am on Monday should be in the portal by the end of day Tuesday.
  • If an invoice is sent as "High Importance" on a work day after the 1pm cut-off time: The invoice should make it into your website by the end of the second business day.  For example, an invoice received at 1:30pm EST on Tuesday should be found in the portal by the end of day Thursday. (Truthfully, though, invoices in this scenario often get processed even sooner.)

Understanding these processing timelines empowers you to manage expectations, plan finances effectively, and ensure smooth business operations. By utilizing expedited processing options when necessary, you can optimize your invoicing workflow and streamline your financial processes with Nimbello.
